I have been busy for the past few days so I haven't had too much time to write. Thanksgiving at Northwest Clinic was calm. There weren't many people there. I suppose it was because everyone was too busy making food and planning for the holiday. Since it was so calm, I did not volunteer for as long as I did before - I wasn't needed. I was told something interesting that occurred the previous week on a day when I was not there. It seems that a patient who was waiting for their doctor's appointment had a seizure. Thankfully they were able to get him help - the person was lucky that they were in a clinic. The whole thing wasn't terrible but it created a buzz for a while.
A while ago I talked about a person who became vocal when his appointment time came and he hadn't been called. I was talking with one of the security guards and found out that though these incidents are not very frequent, they do occur. The security there is very diligent. They make rounds around the whole clinic and patrol the parking lot. That bring me comfort because my car is out there too.
I enjoyed my Thanksgiving and hopefully, since there weren't too many people at the clinic, that the community also had a good holiday.
